The Vampire Social Club of Chicago coming soon!
by Lady ~A on Apr.19, 2010, under ChicagoVampire.com Updates
Come out, come out wherever you are.
Chicago seems to be the only major city without an active vampire scene. A place to go, a scene to steal where fangs are accepted and the ambiance and music are in tune with the vampire world. A place that is as elegant as the vampire archetype and just as dark. We are bringing a new level of maturity and sophistication to the scene. Aren’t you tired of dusty, dirty dive bars with no bite? Feeling a little lost among the hipsters taking over every dark bar in the city? Be one of us.
YOUR TIME HAS COME.
Starting Thursday, May 20th, 2010 Lady~A’s Vampire Social Club will commence exclusively at the award winning Late Bar in the Avondale neighborhood of Chicago. The Vampire Social Club will be a monthly event night dedicated to the vampire and all its glory. Bare your fangs, wear your velvet frocks and count yourself among friends. Come meet me, Lady~A, your hostess and bend my ear over a custom made martini Late Bar style. I’ve been working the vampire scene in New Orleans, New York and Paris for years. Now I am bringing those experiences to all of you in my town of Chicago. Revel in the music, bask in the atmosphere, meet others of like mind and interest and have an actual intelligent conversation. Live your fantasy for an evening.
Come and welcome DJ Carriemonster out of retirement and back into the fold! Spinning vampire favorites and psychobilly sounds. DJ Carriemonster is a long time respected Chicago DJ having spun at NEO, Club 950 and Club Foot. She will be alternating with Late Bar’s in house DJ Peroxide spinning dark, alternative sounds. Together they make for an evening of unparalleled vampire fusion!
Vampires of ALL kinds are welcome. Film, literary, culture, underground, fetish, psi, sang and living. Leave a comment if you are interested in coming. Please spread the word to all of your vampire friends on your social media sites too.
Door prizes and free memberships for a limited time. Stay tuned for a custom website going live soon!

Loveland group takes run at vampire record
by Chad Savage on Sep.23, 2009, under ChicagoVampire.com Updates
LOVELAND — Kathy Reams turns to Rick Roberts and almost begs him to do his line.
Roberts hesitates before smiling through his plastic teeth. “Come and be counted,” he said.
It’s funny. Really. Reams and Roberts were dressed as vampires. Get it now? We’ll pause for your laughter.
OK, and their outfits, part of a blitz to promote the Harvest Night Run, come with a twist. The Loveland Road Runners want to set the world record for the largest gathering of people dressed as vampires.
You probably didn’t know there was a world record. There really isn’t. But if the Loveland Road Runners can persuade at least 250 to show up in a vampire costume — and they don’t even have to run, just come dressed as Count or Countess Dracula — then it should be a Guiness World Record…
