by Chad Savage on Jan.05, 2010, under Free Passes & Promotions, Vampire Books
ChicagoVampire.com has 2 copies each of 2 new vampire novels to give away to 2 lucky winners!
JANE BITES BACK by Michael Thomas Ford "Two hundred years after her death, Jane Austen is still surrounded by the literature she loves—but now it’s because she’s the owner of Flyleaf Books in a sleepy college town in Upstate New York. Every day she watches her novels fly off the shelves—along with dozens of unauthorized sequels, spin-offs, and adaptations. Jane may be undead, but her books have taken on a life of their own."
FOREVER DAVID’S by Shannon Bailey (Signed by the author) "His name was David Blackwell. He wasn’t a Count or a Prince, but a ‘noble’ being nonetheless. He was considered the "Vampire Saint" among a small, relatively new and unknown order of Vampires, called the Unwilling. This is their Story. . . "

I am a big fan of the older Victorian vampire stories such as “Carmilla” by Sheridan LaFanu and of course, where would we be without “Varney the Vampire”. We wouldn’t even have Bram Stoker’s “Dracula” if it weren’t for Varney!

I favorite vampire books are the Ravenloft The Covenant series. They were five or six novels each written by different authors including Lauren K. Hamilton and P.N. Elrod. I also enjoyed I Am Legend by Richard Matheson

My favorite vampires series is without a doubt The Vampire Chronicles by Anne Rice. Her books helped me through a tough time in my life ten years ago. I’m also a fan of Bram Stoker’s Dracula. Amazing authors who captured the beauty of the English language.

I love the first 15 or so Anita Blake books, and just about any other vamp book I can get my hands on.
